Winter GATE Testing (School Year: )

Deadline to submit form is: NOVEMBER 15.

Testing will take place in early January/February . For students attending a GGUSD school, tests are given in small groups at the student's school site. For students not attending a Garden Grove Unified School tests are given in small groups and usually held at the District office with times TBD. K-2 grades will take the test over 2 days, at one hour each day. Grade 3 and above will take the test 1 day for about one hour.

Testing date schedule notifications will be sent home 1-2 week prior to testing.
Test Results are mailed home by mid-March.
Students who qualify during Winter testing are eligible to begin placement in the following school year: .
Students who do not qualify may test again, after 1 year from date of test.

Summer GATE Testing (School Year: )

Deadline to submit form is: APRIL 15.

Forms are accepted between Nov. 16 - April 15th. (Reminder: Child must have recently completed kindergarten. No incoming kinders or TKs can be tested in Summer.) K-2 grades will take the test over 2 days, at one hour each day. Grade 3 and above will take the test 1 day for about one hour.
