Test Schedule and Deadlines

GATE tests are offered 2x a year. Referral and Recommendation deadlines are listed below: 

  • Winter (Jan/Feb)
    Deadline to apply: Nov 15
  • Summer (June)
    Deadline to apply: Apr 15
Testing Schedule Details

Submittal and Verification Process

  1. Enter your address in the School Locator Tool to verify you live in the GGUSD School Boundary. 
  2. Ensure eligibility: Review here --> GATE Eligibility
  3. If within the boundary and eligible, complete Parent Referral Form (below)
  4. Additional required documentation: 

    Please also provide the following with the Parent Referral Form: 

    • Copy of Parent/Guardian Identification 
    • Copy of student's birth certificate/record 
    • Two documents to show proof of address within the GGUSD boundaries (ex: utility bill showing services to the address provided on the form, correspondence from the IRS/State/County, payroll stub showing name and address, Social Services documentation, rental agreement signed by both parties) 
  5. Drop off Parent Referral form and additional documentation to the GARDEN GROVE UNIFIED DISTRICT OFFICE.
