2017 Tet Parade

Several students in traditional Vietnamese clothing along with administrators and board members in front of a school bus that carried them through the Tet parade.

Our bus full of GGUSD pride led the way during this year’s 2017 Little Saigon Tet Parade as we celebrated and honored the Lunar New Year.

School Board President Lan Nguyen, fellow board members Teri Rocco and Walter Muneton, Superintendent Dr. Gabriela Mafi, and Executive Director of K-12 Educational Services Dr. Lorena Sanchez marched in the parade alongside dozens of students representing our intermediate and high schools. The marching bands from McGarvin Intermediate School and Bolsa Grande High School helped kick off the festivities, and the Santiago High School Band also marched during the parade.
