GGUSD High Schools Earn Spot in Elite Rankings for Seventh Year in a Row

All seven of Garden Grove Unified School District’s (GGUSD) comprehensive high schools earned a spot on the U.S. News and World Report's elite rankings of America's Best High Schools for the seventh year in a row. 

“Learning that our high schools are once again ranked among the best in the nation fills me with pride,” said GGUSD Board of Education President Teri Rocco. “It reaffirms the district’s commitment to fostering an environment where every student develops the academic skills and personal skills needed for lifelong success.”

GGUSD’s highest ranked high school, La Quinta High School ranked #88 in California, and #674 in national rankings. All GGUSD high schools scored higher than 75% of the high schools ranked both statewide and across the nation. 

On the 2024 list of America’s Best High Schools, all GGUSD’s high schools ranked in the top 546 in California, top 233 in the Los Angeles metro area, and top 4,101 nationally from over 17,000 ranked schools.

U.S. News and World Report analyzes the data of more than 24,000 public high schools across the country and awards a national rank to the top 17,000 public high schools. The ranking reflects measurements on state math and reading exams, college readiness including Advanced Placement success, underserved student performance, and graduation rates.
