Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD) earned high-rankings on the 2024 California School Dashboard, the state’s school performance and accountability system.

The California Dashboard displays five color-coded performance levels with GGUSD ranking green, a high-level ranking in five categories, including English Language Arts and Mathematics scores, graduation rates, suspension rates, and college and career readiness.

GGUSD’s English Language Arts scores are 20.7 points above standard and its Math scores saw an increase of 3.1 points. GGUSD’s graduation rates at 93.1% showed improvement from last year and 58.6% of students were ranked prepared on the college and career readiness indicator.

GGUSD chronic absenteeism and suspension rates declined.

“GGUSD has built a reputation for academic excellence and our student test scores consistently outperform the county and state average,” said Board of Education Vice President Lan Nguyen. “We are proud of the continued growth students show on the CA Dashboard which is the result of the high caliber of teaching and learning taking place in our classrooms.”
